Description

The avionics technician is responsible for providing technical support services to help deliver operational excellence.

  • Demonstrate technical leadership in your field of expertise to ensure safety, compliance and technical standards are maintained and the best technical solutions delivered.
  • Provide on-site specialist technical support as required in the production areas to deliver effective and fast resolution to technical issues.
  • Prepare and approve technical data and work instructions to ensure aircraft, engines, components and/or cabin products are maintained, repaired, modified and overhauled to the required standards.
  • Investigate safety reports, repetitive defects and fleet reliability data and take effective action to prevent recurrence and improve operational performance.
  • Manage and develop aircraft maintenance programs to achieve industry leading technical performance.
  • Evaluate manufacturer maintenance data (e.g., SB’s), airworthiness directives, other industry recommendations and regulatory requirements and implement the appropriate recommendations applicable to flyadeal.
  • Hold and exercise technical engineer approvals as required by the role to support the business needs.
  • Develop and implement technical process improvement and cost reduction initiatives to improve competitive performance.
  • Create financial business cases in accordance with corporate finance standing instructions to gain spend approval for costs associated with technical decisions.
  • Collaborate effectively with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and manage key supplier and customer relationships to ensure the best and most competitive business solutions are delivered.


Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in aircraft or aerospace engineering OR License holders of A&P and/or B1/B2 accepted if a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience and five (5) years of airline engineering can be proven.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a similar role.
  • Detailed knowledge of avionic systems of A320 family aircraft (ATA 22/23/34 etc.).
  • Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
  • Fuel Tank Safety (FTS).
  • Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM).
